Social Studies lesson today was rather sad. Ms Tay showed us some clips of the Holocaust and the Rwanda Genocide, and it was darn heartwrenching. i simply can't believe that because of racial/religious differences, HUMANS are willing to kill each other. how selfish and dumb and horrible is that? now i really want world peace. but saying is easier said than done. i wonder why such atrocities still carry on. Ms Tay says no countries are helping Rwanda. haiz. that's just great. the Holocaust? 6 million Jews died right? i was thinking, when i was watching the clip, about all the people who suffered and died. young and old, none were spared. those Nazis were seriously cruel. yet, despite the occurrence of such a tragedy, conflicts between different racial and religious groups still take place in the modern world. why can't people just ACCEPT one another?! so what people are different? we are, after all, HUMANS. why are we being INHUMANE, towards our own race at that?? gosh. time to take a time-out and really think about our actions before the whole world is destroyed by the human race. irnasrina Notepaper.
