Loves to eat.Loves to cook and bake. Loves to kick. Loves to laugh. Loves to stone. Social Studies

![]() Interesting cartoon, eh? In case you don't take Social Studies (lucky you! LOL.), FYI, TNCs set up branches in developing countries which provide cheap labour and abundant land. However, only lowly-paid jobs are made available to LDCs as the people in such countries are generally lowly-skilled workers. They have poor working conditions and low wages which do not contribute much to the country's economy hence, resulting in low development. The last part sounds like Geography o.O I would be regurgitating more SS jargon if I could just remember what I learnt. LOL. It's redundant anyway because there's no SEQ in CT2. Woots. So, I've basically read through all the strategies to help Singapore remain competitive in the globalising world and the impacts of globalisation. Now, I have to brush up on my SBQ skills which are really turning rusty. Proof is I failed my SBQ timed prac. Yep, I'm one of those who dropped from A2 in CT1 to a miserable D7 for this darned timed prac. All the skills just slipped my mind so, somehow I cooked up some sentences and in the end, baloney macaroni! Btw, that's just a fancy phrase to substitute NONSENSE. I didn't literally cook. LOL. Failed due to poor time management too. And I can't ever pluck up the courage to write purpose for majority of the skills. Haiz. To tell you the truth, I'm never 100% sure of my answers in SS. Haha. Before I leave, let me just share some SS info. The key driving forces of globalisation are advancements in transportation and communications technology as well as Transnational Corporations (TNCs). Globalisation is both a boon and a bane. Impacts of globalisation can be categorised into social, economic and environmental impacts. There are too many to list out so I shall move on. Singapore has 5 strategies to maximize opportunities and overcome challenges in a globalising world. They are - Diversifying the Economy, Nurturing the Growth of SMEs, Managing Resources (People & Environment), Expanding Market Reach through Economic Cooperation and Venturing Abroad. Woohoo. Thank you for bearing with me as I attempted to remember what I just revised. Hope you've been wonderfully enlightened. Please do not ask me to elaborate on the abovementioned points as I won't be able to without the help of my notes. HAHA. Goodbye! irnasrina Notepaper.
My jar of goodies.
