Darn. I didn't catch American Idol yesterday. Nobody woke me up! Then again, even if somebody did, I wouldn't have willed myself to get out of bed anyway. LOL. Glad that Kris Allen won. Adam Lambert? Hmm. He can do hair commercials if all else fails. Haha. I shall watch the results show tonight. Unless I fall asleep again. Anyway... attended the Hwa Chong DSA talk today. Wow... Hwa Chong is soooooooooooooooo pro. 100% of the cohort got into local/overseas universities and many are PSC/A*Star scholars etc. Someone asked about the criteria for DSA and the reply was that it can be done if you're involved in Sports, Leadership and something else I forgot. The guy elaborated about the Leadership part and said something about if you're head prefect bla bla then a few heads turned to me. Great. Make it obvious eh. Haha. The guy gave an example - a Malay girl from Cedar Girls' who was head prefect and got into Hwa Chong (through DSA I guess) and is now in NUS. Jaw-dropping, I know. I got a bit pressured there cos he also started talking about if you're top student bla bla and I was coincidentally sitting beside the top student who is coincidentally my very good friend as well. LOL. Some crazy idea whizzed past in my mind during the talk. I thought to myself, "Why not try DSA using leadership? Shouldn't waste my 'talent'..." Now that I think of it, nah. Though I work better in a competitive environment, I don't think I want to be the tiniest fish among the 'whales' and suffer in the long run. Imagine the high expectations, the obligations and whatever else. I would turn into a zombie. Chinese-speaking too, if I get into Hwa Chong by DSA. Ha. My dad said, just apply and try. Sure... see how. Maybe try RJC and NJC while I'm at it o.O I'm kidding la. I hope to get into whichever JC I'm destined for through my own hard work and efforts in O Level. That's my Plan A. However, I see no harm in DSA-ing. So, the conclusion is, try DSA. It can change your life. By the end of the June holidays, if I haven't woken up from my deep slumber and suddenly become desperate, I'll go for DSA. Yeah. One should always have a Plan B. My Plan C is to settle for either PJC or AJC. Now, my plan is to study cos when there's a will, there's a way. irnasrina Notepaper.
My jar of goodies.
